Lusitaal Translation Services was founded by Annie Buster – Themme. After studying Portuguese Language and Literature at the University of Utrecht, Annie worked for many years in international business and she established a career as a freelance Portuguese – Dutch translator. As a seasoned translator, she knows her way around the world of translation. 

Important considerations:  

• Entered in the Register of Sworn Interpreters and Translators of the Dutch Ministry of Justice as a sworn interpreter-translator for Portuguese.  
   
• Holder of the SIGV (Association of Court Interpreters and Legal Translators) diploma: ‘Legal Translation in Criminal Proceedings – Portuguese’.
   
• Sworn translator for Portuguese (sworn in by the Utrecht District Court in 1992).  
   
• Sworn interpreter for Portuguese (sworn in as part of the new legislation, effective 01-01-2009, by the Breda District Court).
   
• Member of NGTV (Netherlands Society of Interpreters and Translators).  
   
• Studied at the University of Lisbon, Faculty of Literature: Advanced Course in Portuguese Studies.
